Full Lineup of Marine-related Events
A variety of stage events, informative Umi–zemi Marine Seminars, and other activities are planned and are sure to delight any fan of life on the water.
With the concept of “Making Every Day at the Boat Show Fun,” both venues have a variety of events scheduled for each day of the show’s duration. These include the special Marine Seminars teaching all sorts of things about the sea, talk shows on stage and the Sailing Village for learning all about sailboats. Each of these areas also has its own schedule of fun events.

The Ever–Popular Umi–zemi Marine Seminars
Eighteen Special Seminars You Can’t Hear Anywhere Else
With “Having Fun Learning about Marine Recreation” as its motto, this series of special workshop-style seminars will be held at the Pacifico Yokohama, designed to be fun and informative for everyone from beginners to veterans. Over the duration of the Boat Show, 18 seminars will be held a total of 25 times. They will cover themes from a wide variety of categories, including boats, sailing cruisers, canoes, fishing, scuba diving, wakesurfing, and sailboats, in addition to unique topics like makeup and skincare tips before heading onto the water. Experts from each category will impart their knowhow about how to enjoy marine life to the fullest.

Special Superyacht Tour (Yokohama Bayside Marina)
Come aboard some of the best luxury yachts from Italy
Relax and enjoy some time aboard in the cabin of a luxury sport yacht
This special event offers a look inside superyachts 50 ft. and up. See with your own eyes the unique onboard spaces only a superyacht can offer, including the gorgeous furnishings of the main salon of the master stateroom or the kitchen space for entertaining guests. Available for the tour are is the Azimut 80 from the Azimut Series of yachts from Italy and the popular Marquis 500 Sport Bridge luxury sport yacht from the United States. This event is limited to 20 people per tour on each day.
*It takes time to travel via shuttle bus or shuttle boat to the Yokohama Bayside Marina venue where the yachts are docked, so please factor this into your plans.

Enchanted by the Sea – A One–Night–Only Special Event
Night Cruise Party on March 9 (Sat.)
Together with the Premium Night Hour on March 9 (Sat.), the Boat Show will host a night cruise party on the Ocean Bleu shuttle boat. The party aims to invigorate all five senses by delivering a special world on the water for guests, with a DJ choosing high-quality music and a melding of city lights and sounds to enjoy. With Yokohama Port providing the perfect backdrop, alcoholic beverages and hors d'oeuvres will be available.
Electing the final “Fishing Enthusiast” of the Heisei Era
How to Enjoy Boat Fishing (Fun for the kids too!)
Girls who love fishing and the sea will team up with various manufacturers represented at the Boat Show to introduce the appeal of boat fishing. The overall winner will be decided by the actual catches, the number of Likes they garner on Facebook and Instagram, and with votes cast in-person at the Boat Show.

C to Sea Project
Marine–esque Highway Recognition Ceremony
and Marine-esqueRegistration Issuance Ceremony
STU48, the wide-area 48 pop idol group based out of the seven prefectures of the Setouchi region of Japan, will serve as ambassadors of the “C to Sea Project,” and will carry out the Marine-esque Highway Recognition Ceremony. STU48 members Azusa Fujiwara and Honoka Yano will be on stage to represent the group at the ceremony.

Swimsuits recommended by the Jet Village from the PEAK&PINE 2019 swimsuit collection will be modeled by grid girls.

Coordinated Family Outfit Contest
This contest is soliciting entries on Instagram of families wearing matching marine-themed outfits. It could be kids with their mom and dad, or even of three generations with grandma and grandpa! The selected finalists will come on stage for a winner to be decided. Justin Patterson and Yumi Ochi will serve as the MCs for the event.

Jet Village Events
Several programs are set to be held again this year at the Jet Village, where various manufacturers’ new PWC models are on display. Some of those programs include talk shows with special guests.
TAMIYA Presents
Assemble a PWC Model and Watch it Go
Participants can build a model PWC using an old-school “underwater motor.” Once complete, the models can be taken home as souvenirs.
*Limited to 12 participants per session.
*1,200 JPY fee per person.
*Participation requires making a friend request to HOT WATER on the Line app.

Hot Water Sports Magazine Cover Photo Session
Try your hand at posing for a cover photo with magazine models and the PWC machines on display. Your photo will be processed on the spot and turned into a Hot Water Sports Magazine cover! It will then be put into a book cover and you can take it home as a souvenir.
*To participate, guests must purchase a copy of Hot Water Sports Magazine and post the picture to social media with the #JETVillage hashtag.

Free Inflatable Lifejacket Inspection Campaign
This campaign aims to give users peace of mind when an unforeseen accident occurs on the water. Throughout the duration of the Boat Show, you can bring in inflatable lifejackets (see the following list of eligible manufacturers with lifejackets approved by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure Transport and Tourism) for a free inspection.

The inspection is only a check for any problems in use and it does not include replacement of defective parts and/or repairs. After the inspection, you will be informed of the following:
*Only products of manufacturers approved by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure Transport and Tourism are eligible for inspection. *Inspections will only be made on lifejackets brought to the venue in person. *As a general rule, inspection will be made on no more than two lifejackets per person. |

The Used Boat Fair 2019 will feature an array of high quality used motorboats, sailboats and PWCs displayed by members of the Japan Used Boat Association.

Boating License Renewal/Replacement Course
During the Boat Show, a course will be held at the Pacifico Yokohama on March 9 and 10 for people wishing to renew their boat operator license or replace an expired one. For more details and how to apply, please see the JEIS website (in Japanese)
